Infobip transitions to AI-first company and expands Croatian operations
Global cloud communications platform Infobip is undergoing a strategic transformation into an AI-first company. During a recent visit by the European Commission's representation in Croatia, Infobip co-founder and CTO Izabel Jelenić highlighted that artificial intelligence is driving the deepest changes in the company's 20-year history, affecting how businesses make decisions, organize work, and build stakeholder relationships.
The company is also focusing on talent acquisition and team expansion in Croatia. In Rijeka, the office is growing its client-facing departments, emphasizing that while AI handles routine tasks, human skills such as strategic thinking, business context, and adaptability remain essential.
Infobip currently employs approximately 3,500 people across more than 70 offices worldwide, with 1,600 employees based in Croatia.
