Infonavit details housing regeneration and improvement programs

Infonavit has detailed two specific programs aimed at supporting housing access and improvement in Mexico.

The Community Regeneration (RCI) program focuses on municipalities with high rates of irregular housing. Its goal is to rehabilitate and reinsert recovered properties back into the market, ensuring they meet adequate housing standards and government guidelines. Interested parties are advised to contact Infonavit offices or real estate agencies to identify available recovered properties.

Additionally, the ‘Equipa tu Casa’ program offers complementary financing for home improvements, repairs, or the purchase of household items. This credit provides amounts ranging from approximately 10,700 to 71,324 pesos, depending on the worker's credit conditions and repayment capacity. To qualify, workers must maintain an active employment relationship with IMSS and receive a favorable prequalification through the ‘Mi Cuenta Infonavit’ platform. This funding is a loan that must be repaid alongside the primary mortgage.
