INFONAVIT urges damage insurance claims in Zapotlanejo
INFONAVIT has advised residents of Zapotlanejo, Mexico, to request damage insurance following recent heavy rains and flooding. The Institute noted that homes acquired through active credits are covered against floods and other natural phenomena.
To qualify for the Damage Insurance, borrowers must be current on their mortgage payments at the time of the incident, though those with debts may sign agreements to regularize their status. Affected individuals have up to two years from the date of the incident to report damages.
Coverage includes damage from cyclones, hurricanes, storms, falling trees, hail, volcanic eruptions, explosions, and sudden terrain shifts. Claims can be processed at the INFONAVIT Service Center (CESI) in Guadalajara.
