INFORICH launches CHARGESPOT campaign to boost disaster preparedness
INFORICH has launched a promotional campaign for its mobile battery sharing service, CHARGESPOT, to coincide with Disaster Prevention Month in September. Running from September 1 to September 30, the campaign offers new users a coupon for up to three hours of free usage, valued at approximately 430 yen.
The initiative aims to encourage users to download the app and familiarize themselves with the service during normal times, ensuring they can use it seamlessly during emergencies. CHARGESPOT positions itself as a piece of disaster prevention infrastructure, as it provides free battery rentals for less than 48 hours during large-scale disasters to ensure people can maintain communication and access evacuation information.
In collaboration with local governments, including Aichi and Gunma Prefectures, the company is also utilizing signage at battery stands to raise disaster awareness. CHARGESPOT currently operates approximately 63,000 units across all 47 prefectures in Japan.
