Infosys posts 12% profit growth, cuts FY27 revenue guide and appoints Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO

Infosys reported a 12.2% year‑on‑year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹7,769 crore for the June quarter, while revenue rose 14% to ₹48,211 crore. The company lowered its FY27 constant‑currency revenue growth outlook to 1.5‑3%, down from the earlier 1.5‑3.5% range, and kept its operating‑margin target at 20‑22%. AI‑related services contributed 8.2% of quarterly revenue. The earnings release coincided with a share‑price drop of about 2.7‑3% as investors reacted to the guidance cut.

The board appointed long‑time insider Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO‑designate; he will assume the role on 1 April 2027 after Salil Parekh retires. Dash, who has spent nearly three decades at Infosys and currently heads global services for utilities, resources, energy and sustainability, will lead the company through an “AI‑led” transformation.

Infosys also noted a slight headcount decline to 3,28,062 employees (attrition 13%) and reaffirmed plans to recruit 20,000 fresh graduates this fiscal year, with a salary increase scheduled for October. Large‑deal wins totalled $3.6 billion, 61% of which were new business.
