Infosys issues 70% average performance bonus to employees

Infosys has issued an average performance bonus of 70 per cent to eligible employees for the April-June quarter. Individual payouts varied between 65 and 80 per cent based on job levels and performance ratings. This payout level remains unchanged from the previous quarter but is lower than the bonus awarded during the same period last year.

The company's workforce includes 328,062 employees. Regarding future compensation, the company is considering a phased rollout of annual salary revisions. Employees at job levels JL4 and JL5 are expected to receive revision letters within one to two months, while those at JL6 and above may receive theirs in January 2027.

In market news, Infosys shares have seen recent volatility and growth, driven by a rebound in the Indian IT sector and new AI-led transformation deals, such as an expanded multi-year collaboration with Finland's Metsä Group. The company also recently appointed Mitrankur Majumdar as the Segment Head for Services, Utilities, Resources and Energy.
