INFOTEP and Grupo Punta Cana discuss tourism workforce training

Maira Morla, Director General of the National Institute of Technical Professional Training (INFOTEP), and Frank Elías Rainieri, CEO of Grupo Punta Cana, met to discuss new training initiatives aimed at strengthening the tourism sector in the eastern region of the Dominican Republic.

The meeting took place during the 38th edition of the ASONAHORES Commercial Exhibition in Punta Cana. The discussions focused on identifying current and future training needs to ensure the workforce meets international standards and can support the ongoing transformation of Punta Cana as a major tourist destination.

Both parties emphasized the importance of aligning technical-professional training with market demands to improve labor insertion for both youth and adults, contributing to the sustainable growth of the local tourism industry.
