Infraero assumes management of Hugo Cantergiani Airport

Infraero has officially taken over the administration and operation of the Hugo Cantergiani Regional Airport in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. Previously managed by the local municipal government, the transition took effect on October 9 following months of administrative and operational adjustments.

The change in management is expected to maintain current regional airport functions and services for passengers and airlines. The Tourist Service Center (CAT) will continue to operate within the terminal to provide guidance and information to visitors.

Local tourism officials from Gramado and Caxias do Sul expressed optimism regarding the transition. They anticipate that Infraero’s established connections within the Brazilian aeronautical sector may attract increased investment and facilitate the arrival of larger airlines, potentially boosting regional connectivity and economic activity in the Serra Gaúcha region.
