Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) announced a public tender to prepare the rehabilitation project for the EN341 segment between Taveiro and the Almegue roundabout in Coimbra. The tender, valued at €700,000, is open until 2 September and foresees a 450‑day execution period. The scope includes a feasibility study for installing traffic‑light control at the roundabout and measures to improve safety and reduce accident rates on this congested junction.
IP also launched a separate tender for the design of works on the IP8/EN260 stretch between Vila Nova de São Bento and the Ficalho border in the Serpa municipality. With a base price of €650,000 and a 390‑day execution window, the project covers 15.7 km and will address pavement rehabilitation, drainage, curve correction, junction upgrades, safety signage, and related environmental and civil‑engineering aspects.
