InfraRed Capital Partners to acquire C3 port logistics operator

InfraRed Capital Partners has agreed to acquire C3, a port logistics and materials handling company, from the global investment group Brookfield. The acquisition is being conducted through one of InfraRed’s value-add investment funds, though the specific financial terms have not been disclosed.

C3 maintains operations across 15 locations in New Zealand and Australia, specializing in container logistics and materials handling for major exporters. The company is a significant player in the forestry sector, managing approximately half of New Zealand’s log exports, which account for roughly $3.4 billion in annual revenue. Additionally, C3 handles about half of the container traffic through the Port of Tauranga, New Zealand’s busiest port.

InfraRed intends to utilize C3’s established infrastructure to expand its logistics capabilities and broaden the range of services offered across the export supply chain.
