Infrastructure and cemetery management updates in Italy

In Santarcangelo, preparatory works have begun for a new roundabout on Via Emilia near the central cemetery. These preliminary interventions, which include ditching, public lighting preparation, and sewage system adjustments, are expected to continue until early 2027. The project is partially funded by a sustainability contribution from Italpack and involves land ceded by private owners. Once completed, the roundabout will follow Anas guidelines and eventually be transferred to the agency, though the municipality will maintain the central green island.

In Vicoforte, the municipal administration has scheduled the transfer of remains from the central crypt of the Fiamenga cemetery starting November 9. The move is necessitated by serious safety and hygiene concerns regarding the crypt's structural condition. Following months of consultation with the parish and families, remains will be relocated to family tombs, niches, or ossuaries. Access to the crypt will be strictly prohibited once the operations are complete.
