Infrastructure and community engagement initiatives in Dominican Republic and Spain
In the Dominican Republic, construction has begun on a new Type I police station in the municipal district of Majagual, Monte Plata province. Led by Provincial Development Director José Andújar, the project involves an investment of RD$21,115,880.86. The 165.40-square-meter facility will include cells, offices for the Criminal Investigation Department (DICRIM), a weapons depot, and sleeping quarters, aiming to improve security for approximately 2,219 residents.
In Spain, more than 400 young people participated in an open house event at the Los Llanos Air Base in Albacete. Organized to mark National Day, the event allowed citizens aged 16 to 26 to observe the daily operations of an Air and Space Force Combat Unit. Albacete Mayor Manuel Serrano emphasized the close relationship between the city and the military installation, noting the base's role in the region's aeronautical tradition.
