Van and Balıkesir pursue industrial and economic cooperation

Memet Aslan, Chairman of the Van Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), conducted high-level meetings in Balıkesir to foster industrial and economic ties between the two cities. Accompanied by Memiş Kütükcü, Chairman of the Union of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBÜK), the delegation met with Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu and various local chamber and industrial leaders.

The discussions focused on addressing the needs and challenges of the 11 organized industrial zones in Balıkesir. A key strategic element of the cooperation involves the Edremit districts located in both Van and Balıkesir, which serve as a bridge for enhancing economic and tourism relations.

In addition to industrial collaboration, the initiative aims to strengthen regional networks in tourism and economy, leveraging the production infrastructure and capacity of both provinces.
