Latin American governments advance housing and infrastructure projects

Various regional governments across Latin America are implementing housing and infrastructure projects to improve living standards and legal security.

In Chile, 410 families in Padre Las Casas received housing subsidies for new construction and home improvements. In Uruguay, a partnership between the Ministry of Housing and INAU will subsidize 100% of rent for up to 200 households to support family integration. Meanwhile, in Mexico, the Municipality of Soledad achieved legal property certainty for 40 families through deed signing, and Ciudad Juárez distributed over 1,500 school kits to students.

Infrastructure developments are also underway in Argentina, including drainage and paving works in Entre Ríos, Rosario del Tala, and Tres Isletas. In Uruguay, the construction of the 6-hectare Maldonado Park in Palermo is progressing, with plans to open new streets by year-end. In Venezuela, authorities in Acosta have replaced over 700 meters of piping to improve water supply for 5,000 families.
