Infrastructure and trade initiatives announced in Guinea and Togo

In Guinea, authorities and residents in Dabola have welcomed government announcements regarding significant infrastructure funding for the Faranah region. Key projects include the Tinkisso 2 hydroelectric dam, which is expected to improve electricity access and support socio-economic development. Additionally, the government plans to pave several road axes, including sections connecting Cisséla, Banko, Konindou, and N’Dèma, to enhance mobility and commercial exchange.

In Togo, preparations are underway for the first edition of the Savanes Agricultural and Craft Fair, scheduled for December 21–27 in Dapaong. Regional authorities held meetings across seven prefectures to sensitize stakeholders, including farmers, artisans, and youth, on the event's theme: ‘Agriculture, livestock and crafts as a lever for sustainable development.’ The fair aims to host up to 250 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors, providing a platform to address market access challenges and promote regional products.
