Infrastructure concerns rise in Nariño and Pasto

Residents in the municipality of El Peñol, located in the department of Nariño, have expressed concerns regarding potential landslides due to the onset of the rainy season. The road leading to the Molinoyaco sector is reportedly experiencing weakened embankments caused by constant moisture, posing a risk to motorists and threatening to isolate rural families. Local citizens are calling on the mayor's office and the governor's office to implement maintenance and repair work to ensure safe mobility.

In the city of Pasto, additional infrastructure issues have been reported. Pedestrians at the Agustín Agualongo interchange noted that walking paths are in a state of complete deterioration, with broken paving stones hindering movement. Furthermore, residents have reported significant traffic congestion near Carrera 25 and Calle 21, citing improper parking by congregants of a local evangelical church as a contributing factor to the mobility problems.
