Infrastructure developments in Jihlava and Machová
The city of Jihlava has completed the construction of the R08 cycling path connecting Jihlava, Pávov, and Střítež. The project, which cost 61.5 million CZK, was supported by 51.4 million CZK from the Ministry for Regional Development and co-financed by the European Union. The new infrastructure includes a dedicated path, a bridge over the Zlatý potok stream, culverts, and protective concrete walls to shield cyclists from wind caused by passing trains. The goal is to increase sustainable transport and safety by diverting cyclists from high-traffic roads.
In the municipality of Machová, a revitalization project for the area surrounding the cultural house is underway. With a total expenditure of 433,180 CZK, the project is being co-financed by the Zlín Region, which provided a grant of 216,000 CZK. The revitalized space is intended to serve as a meeting and relaxation area for local citizens.
