Infrastructure developments reported in Besançon and Bressuire
In Besançon, Rue du Général-Brulard has reopened to vehicular traffic as of October 9, three weeks ahead of the original schedule. The road had been closed since March to facilitate construction for the city's fourth tramway terminus. While the road is accessible, work on the terminus infrastructure—including rail installation, the creation of a tram storage track, and an operations facility—is expected to continue until October 15, 2026.
In Bressuire, redevelopment work is scheduled for Place Labate from October 19 to October 30, 2026. Following previous repairs to local roundabouts, this new phase aims to optimize parking and improve pedestrian and vehicular safety. The project, which incorporates feedback from local residents, seeks to address underutilized parking spaces and adjust traffic flow to better suit local usage.
