Infrastructure developments support truck drivers on Brazilian highways

New and existing infrastructure is supporting truck drivers on major Brazilian highways. In Mato Grosso do Sul, Motiva Pantanal has launched the first free Stop and Rest Point (PPD) on the BR-163 highway. Located in São Gabriel do Oeste, the R$ 18.9 million facility includes a 48-person cafeteria, restrooms, laundry, a rest room, a changing station, and an outdoor gym. The site also provides parking for 62 trucks and five light vehicles.

Additionally, the Pelanda Alpino 2 service station on the BR-116 in Campina Grande do Sul serves as a vital support hub for travelers and drivers moving between São Paulo and southern Brazil. The station offers essential services including food, showers, refueling, and vehicle maintenance, such as greasing, providing a reliable stop for long-haul professionals.
