Infrastructure improvements completed in Ciudad de Nieva and La Boca
In Ciudad de Nieva, Mayor Raúl “Chuli” Jorge has inaugurated the paving of Avenida Libertad. This infrastructure project is considered a key access point to the city's central area and is part of a broader municipal plan to improve the road network. The mayor noted that while the construction caused temporary traffic disruptions, the high-quality materials used are intended to provide a service life of approximately 50 years.
In Buenos Aires, the revitalization of Necochea Street in the La Boca neighborhood has been completed. The project, part of the Masterplan for Development and Integration of the South, involved leveling sidewalks and roadways to remove architectural barriers, installing LED lighting, adding urban greenery, and placing bollards to prioritize pedestrian movement. The street, historically significant for its tango culture and traditional cantinas, now features reorganized vehicular traffic with a single lane and new parking bays to balance mobility with pedestrian access.
