Infrastructure improvements completed in Ortuella and Oza Cesuras
Local governments in Spain have completed several road infrastructure projects aimed at improving safety and mobility.
In Ortuella, the City Council has finished asphalt improvements across 17 different locations. The project, representing an investment of 200,000 euros, included repairing deteriorated surfaces and installing raised pedestrian crossings in areas such as La Llana and near the local swimming pools to increase visibility and reduce vehicle speeds.
In Oza Cesuras, the Xunta has inaugurated safety improvements on the AC-840 highway. This 1.2 million euro project includes a 124-meter path for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as a 22-meter long underpass beneath the railway. The works address a long-standing demand from residents by providing a safe connection to public services like the local school and town hall, bypassing a previously dangerous stretch of road without a shoulder.
