Infrastructure improvements underway in Huete and Adra
In Huete, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha has begun works to renew the water supply and sanitation networks in Camino del Batán. The project, costing 48,354 euros, aims to resolve structural failures that caused recurring leaks and supply issues for local residents. The intervention includes installing a new shut-off valve, a 315 mm diameter sanitation collector, and high-density polyethylene pipes for potable water. The works are expected to take three months and will conclude with the repaving of affected roads.
In Adra, the local government is improving the hydraulic evacuation infrastructure of the Albuferas to prevent flooding during intense rainfall. The project involves replacing drainage and evacuation pipes that lead to the sea to enhance drainage capacity. These works aim to protect adjacent agricultural lands and infrastructure from water accumulation. The improvements are funded by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory as part of recovery efforts for storm-related damages.
