Infrastructure issues reported on Romanian roads and highways

Infrastructure challenges are affecting road safety and traffic in several parts of Romania. In Constanța, drivers are reporting significant discomfort due to sewage covers that remain below the level of recently rehabilitated asphalt on streets such as Soveja and Dezrobirii. Mayor Vergil Chițac stated that the issue will be addressed in stages, with work planned for Ferdinand, Mircea cel Bătrân, and Alexandru Lăpușneanu streets.

On the A10 Sebeș-Turda highway, landslides have severely impacted the infrastructure, forcing traffic onto a single lane at kilometer 66. Although repairs were expected to begin following an agreement with the Austrian constructor to cover costs due to hidden defects, work has been delayed. Drivers have expressed concerns regarding safety as the asphalt has cracked repeatedly in the same location since the highway's inauguration in 2018.
