Infrastructure maintenance and flood prevention projects underway in Turkey

In Eskişehir, Turkey, the Water and Sewerage Administration (ESKİ) has launched comprehensive maintenance and cleaning operations on sewage inspection manhole filter systems. To mitigate unpleasant odors, crews are replacing exhausted active carbon filters with new ones. These filters utilize a porous structure to trap gas molecules from wastewater, preventing them from spreading into the environment.

Meanwhile, in the Seydişehir district of Konya, work is underway to prevent flooding along a 15-kilometer stretch of the old BSA Canal. The project involves cleaning and regulating the canal line passing through the neighborhoods of Gökhüyük, Kuran, Kumluca, and Ortakaraören. So far, 2,000 meters of the line have been completed, involving sediment removal, slope correction, and service road leveling to control water flow speed during rainy periods.
