Infrastructure neglect reported in Donja Studena and Dubrovnik

Residents in Donja Studena, Serbia, are reporting severe infrastructure deficiencies, most notably the absence of a bridge destroyed by a torrent in June 2010. Miodrag Stanković, co-president of the ‘Niš moj grad’ citizens' group, visited the village to highlight how the lack of a bridge leaves the community isolated during heavy rains, preventing even emergency vehicles from accessing the area. Residents expressed frustration over the lack of basic services, including healthcare facilities and sports grounds, noting that the village has been neglected for over a decade.

In Dubrovnik, Croatia, residents of Padre Perica Street are protesting prolonged and abandoned construction work related to the Dubrovnik Agglomeration project. For six months, the site has remained in disrepair, with partially connected pipes causing continuous water leaks. Locals have raised concerns regarding hygiene and potential disease due to standing water and the presence of pests near waste containers. Vodovod Dubrovnik stated that they have requested the contractor, P. G. P., to expedite the continuation of the works.
