Infrastructure projects advance for markets in Maceió and Marabá

Renovation efforts are progressing for major commercial hubs in Brazil. In Maceió, the second stage of the Mercado da Produção requalification is underway. To maintain economic activity during construction, an annex structure has been established, featuring two warehouses totaling over 20,000 square meters. This temporary space includes more than 500 boxes for permit holders, 450 stalls for vendors, parking for 400 vehicles, and necessary drainage and lighting infrastructure.

Once completed, the Mercado da Produção is expected to expand to approximately 40,000 square meters, tripling its current size. The final project will include air-conditioned environments, cold storage, a food court, expanded parking for 900 vehicles, and sustainable features such as solar energy and water reuse.

In Marabá, the expansion of the Feira de Produtores on Avenida Getúlio Vargas is entering its final phase. Coordinated by the Municipal Secretariat of Public Works (Sevop), the project involves constructing 1,200 square meters of new space, including 44 commercial boxes. Current work focuses on concrete flooring, drainage systems, and handrails, following the completion of the metallic structure and roofing. The upgrade will incorporate thermoacoustic tiles to reduce heat and noise, alongside accessibility ramps and public restrooms.
