Infrastructure projects advance in Comodoro Rivadavia and Mazatlán

Infrastructure projects are underway in Comodoro Rivadavia and Mazatlán to address drainage and coastal structural issues.

In Comodoro Rivadavia, construction has advanced on a large-scale stormwater discharge conduit to the sea. The project utilizes precast reinforced concrete modules, which are manufactured in a controlled plant environment before being transported and assembled on-site. This methodology is intended to accelerate assembly, improve quality control, and minimize the time excavations remain open, thereby reducing traffic and pedestrian disruptions.

In Mazatlán, public works officials have begun repairs on the malecón wall near the ‘Mujer Mazatleca’ monument in the Olas Altas area following reported damage. Martín Gallardo Noriega, head of the Public Works Department, stated that initial efforts include removing lighting fixtures, demolishing damaged sections, and securing the area. Once tide conditions permit, crews will proceed with foundation work and reconstruction to restore the coastal area.
