Infrastructure projects advance in Dubai and Kuwait

Major infrastructure projects are advancing in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait to improve regional traffic flow.

In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a 500-meter, two-lane bridge connecting the Dubai World Trade Centre and One Central to Al Mustaqbal Street. This is part of the US $172.4 million Al Mustaqbal Street Development Project. The bridge is expected to reduce travel time from the World Trade Centre to the street from 10 minutes to 2 minutes during major events. Further developments, including three tunnels, are scheduled for completion in February 2027.

In Kuwait, construction on the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge has resumed at an accelerated pace following a 12-year hiatus. Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan recently inspected the site, where portions of the bridge have been opened to motorists on the Sixth Ring Road. Once fully completed, the project aims to enhance the efficiency of the road network and improve traffic conditions for residents near Road 604.
