Infrastructure projects advance in El Grullo and Acultzingo

Infrastructure developments are progressing in the Mexican states of Jalisco and Veracruz. In El Grullo, Jalisco, the first stage of the Andador Luciérnagas is nearing completion. This project will interconnect the localities of La Laja, El Cacalote, and Ayuquila. The development includes restrooms, rest areas with transport waiting stations, a passenger plaza, taxi services, and security spaces. Mayor Milton Cárdenas secured 5 million pesos for the second stage of the project through agreements with the Secretaría de Infraestructura y Obra Pública (SIOP).

In Acultzingo, Veracruz, construction has begun on a 3.316-kilometer artisanal road connecting Coxolitla de Abajo and Coxolitla de Arriba. This project, which follows over 40 years of community requests, aims to improve communication between the Sierra de Zongolica municipalities and facilitate access to the Orizaba region and Puebla. The road will feature mixed hydraulic concrete pavement and drainage systems to improve safety and transit for local indigenous communities.
