Infrastructure projects advance in Jundiaí, São Caetano, and Salvador
Various municipal infrastructure projects are underway across Brazil. In Jundiaí, DAE has begun construction on a new 5 million liter treated water reservoir in Jardim Planalto. This R$ 11.5 million project aims to strengthen water supply for approximately 16,000 families. DAE also plans to build three additional reservoirs in the Medeiros, Eloy Chaves, and Jardim Planalto regions to increase total storage capacity to 90 million liters.
In São Caetano, the construction of the Bairro Fundação retention basin is 90% complete. Part of the Drenar São Caetano program, which is funded by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), the project aims to mitigate flooding through improved rainwater drainage. The program includes the installation of 22 kilometers of new piping.
In Salvador, the Mané Dendê Aquatic Arena has reached 50% execution. The R$ 4.7 million project, managed by the Superintendency of Public Works (Sucop), includes a semi-olympic pool, a children's pool, and locker rooms. The facility is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2027 as part of the broader Mané Dendê urban requalification project.
