Infrastructure projects advance in León and Ronda

In León, construction work on the undergrounding of the eastern ring road at the La Granja junction is progressing. Following eighteen months of work involving the relocation of electrical, water, and drainage utilities, the project is expected to enter its main phase by the end of the year. This next stage, funded by a 23.8 million euro investment from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, will involve earthmoving and the construction of embankments to widen the ring road.

In Ronda, the City Council is moving to eliminate the last remaining level crossing with barriers in the urban center, located in the industrial estate. The proposed project, coordinated with Adif, involves constructing an underpass for both vehicles and pedestrians connecting Córdoba Street and Andalucía Avenue. This initiative, part of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, is projected to begin in 2028 and includes the creation of a 200-space parking lot on land leased from Adif near the train station.
