Infrastructure projects advance in Ljutomer and Jelovica
Infrastructure projects are progressing in Ljutomer and the Jelovica mountain region. In Ljutomer, construction of a new roundabout near the District Court has reached the asphalt stage. This project, valued at over 1.16 million euros, includes regional road reconstruction, drainage, pedestrian and cycling paths, and new lighting. Traffic diversions to the newly paved sections are expected in the coming days to allow work to continue on the remaining side, with a temporary traffic regime potentially lasting until February 2027.
In the Jelovica mountain area, work is underway to construct a three-kilometer asphalt road and a modern roundabout to improve access to the popular excursion site. The project, funded through the state capital budget following an amendment by MP Milan Zečević, aims to transform the area into a more accessible tourist destination. Local officials, including Vinicka community president Novica Lainović, noted that the improved connectivity between Berane and Kolašin will support the development of local ethno-tourism and accommodation capacities.
