Infrastructure projects advance in Lubomierz and Bydgoszcz
Local infrastructure projects are moving forward in Poland, though some face logistical delays. In Lubomierz, the mayor has announced a tender for the reconstruction of Sportowa Street. The project covers a 426.5-meter section, aiming to improve safety and comfort for residents and visitors traveling to recreational areas and the local stadium. The upgrade will include a new asphalt surface, a continuous concrete sidewalk, and new access points for properties.
In Bydgoszcz, the first stage of the Nakielska Street expansion is scheduled to begin next year. This phase will modernize the section from Bronikowskiego Street to Lisia Street, adding bus lanes and bicycle infrastructure, with completion expected by 2029. However, the expansion of the adjacent railway viaduct remains uncertain. PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. stated that due to a lack of design documentation and administrative decisions, they cannot currently realize the viaduct reconstruction or a new railway stop before the broader modernization of line no. 131, which is currently on a reserve list for implementation after 2030.
