Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs tasked with salary and talent reform dossiers

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has directed the Ministry of Home Affairs to urgently prepare two major policy dossiers for submission to the Central Committee. These include a national strategy for attracting and developing talent in key sectors to support sustainable development, as well as a reform plan for salary policies and social insurance.

The Ministry is also tasked with advising the Government on improving the quality of local government operations, particularly at the grassroots level. Additionally, the Ministry must work toward completing a model for nuclear commune-level administrative units by September 15, 2026, and provide guidance on rearranging commune-level administrative units according to existing central conclusions.
