Infrastructure projects advance on Brazilian bridges

Infrastructure projects are advancing in two Brazilian regions. In the connection between Palmas and Luzimangues, the requalification of the Governador José Wilson Siqueira Campos Bridge has reached 87.49% completion. A new bidding process is scheduled for October 16 to implement a solar-powered lighting system. This system will use photovoltaic panels and integrated batteries, eliminating the need for electrical wiring and reducing vulnerability to cable theft and vandalism.

In Campos, technical inspections are underway for the recovery of the Barcelos Martins Bridge, also known as the Iron Bridge. The structure has been closed since February 28 following damage to a central pillar caused by the flooding of the Paraíba do Sul River. Officials from the City Hall and the State Secretariat of Cities conducted a site visit to determine logistics and equipment needs. The company responsible for the work expects to begin operations shortly after the data collected during this inspection is processed.
