Infrastructure projects announced in Villaquilambre and Antofagasta

Local governments in Spain and Chile have announced significant infrastructure investments. In Villaquilambre, Spain, the City Council approved a project exceeding 76,000 euros to renovate the water supply network and repave La Juncal street. The works involve replacing old fiber-cement pipes with polyethylene conduits and performing deep asphalt repairs to address damaged road sections.

In Chile, the Ministry of Public Works has launched a tender for over 2.28 billion pesos to conserve the coastal area of Antofagasta, specifically targeting the Municipal Bathing Area and Playa El Cable. The 240-day project aims to repair damage caused by sea swells and aging infrastructure. Key interventions include restoring the saltwater pool, repairing sea-damaged walls, and replacing structural elements of the pool area's shade structures.
