Infrastructure projects begin on E39 and E136 in Norway
Infrastructure projects are underway on several Norwegian roads. In Ørsta, Statens vegvesen has begun work on a new 220-meter pedestrian and cycle path along the E39 near the Vekslet outdoor area. The project also includes the establishment of a new bus bay south of the Vekslet exit. During the construction period, which is scheduled to last until November 30, 2026, the existing bus stop and pedestrian crossing will be closed. A new crossing with intensive lighting will be installed to improve safety.
In Romsdalen, Nye Veier has started asphalt work on a four-kilometer stretch of the E136 between Stuguflåten and Raudstøl. This work is expected to continue until October 9 and will involve pilot cars throughout the section. The improvements aim to provide a wider road, better visibility, and gentler curves. Additionally, road marking and new guardrails will be installed as part of the final phases of the project.
