Infrastructure projects in Civitanova Marche and Aprilia face scrutiny

In Civitanova Marche, the municipal government has approved an executive project for a new roundabout in Industrial Zone A. The project, costing 750,000 euros, will be located at the intersection of via Piero Gobetti and the former provincial road 485 Maceratese. The construction aims to reorganize traffic flows and improve safety in a high-traffic area used by commercial and heavy vehicles. The works include traffic islands, updated public lighting, and rainwater collection systems.

In Aprilia, the completion of a new roundabout at via Bardi has drawn criticism from Europa Verde representatives Fabrizio Fiorentini and Sara Samperi. The project, funded by PNRR resources totaling approximately 1.85 million euros, is being labeled as a waste of public funds. Critics argue the previous roundabout was functional and that the new construction lost its primary purpose after plans to build a connecting bridge over the Ficoccia ditch were abandoned.
