Infrastructure projects resume in Alghero and Valenza

Construction work has resumed on the new bypass in Alghero, Italy. The project aims to complete the first lot, spanning from the Via Vittorio Emanuele 5 roundabout to Via Valverde 2, by spring 2027. To address previous funding shortages caused by necessary corrective interventions, the administration secured an additional 1,000,000 euro contribution from the RAS and allocated 1,300,000 euro from the municipal budget.

In Valenza, road resurfacing has begun on Corso Matteotti following recent water pipe replacements. Managed by the company Am+, the project is expected to last approximately ten working days. In a strategic shift to avoid uneven patching, the municipality has mandated that the resurfacing cover both lanes of the roadway to ensure a uniform surface, even if it requires working on shorter segments.

Additionally, preparation for rockfall protection works has started on Provincial Road 11 in Val d'Adige, specifically between Turan and Preabocco. The 10.5 million euro project includes the construction of a double-lane rockfall gallery over 150 meters long and the installation of 3,650 square meters of steel barriers. The road will face intermittent closures through May 2025.
