Spanish municipalities launch various urban infrastructure and road works

Various municipalities across Spain are implementing extensive urban infrastructure and road maintenance projects.

In Algeciras, the City Council is launching a 4.79 million euro asphalt plan to renovate 96 streets across the north, center, and south sectors. This project, covering 230,000 square meters, is funded by Spanish Government aid intended to mitigate damage from last winter’s storm trains. Companies Maygar and Garrucho have been selected for specific lots.

Almuñécar is entering the final stages of its public road improvement plan, having expanded its scope from 14 to 16 interventions with a 900,000 euro budget. Meanwhile, Tudela has begun its 2026 asphalt campaign, starting with Huertas Mayores and Camino del Rape, and is also preparing a major integral reform of Manresa Street, which includes the installation of a new urban elevator to improve accessibility.

Other regional updates include Zamora modifying regulations for the Los Llanos Industrial Park to facilitate development and improve lighting, and Cúllar Vega completing the remodeling of the ‘Pago del Lunes’ industrial area with a 116,000 euro investment. In Estepona, the Mesurado Street is undergoing a complete renovation of both its surface and underground utility networks. In Jerez, resurfacing works are moving into the city center, specifically targeting Zaragoza Street to address significant pavement wear.
