Infrastructure projects trigger traffic changes in Lecco and Limbiate
Various municipalities in the Lombardy region are implementing roadwork and infrastructure projects that will impact local traffic circulation.
In Lecco, several street modifications are scheduled between late September and early October 2026. These include water network repairs on via Gaudenzio Ferrari, via Ai Poggi, and via Giotto, as well as asphalt work on via Parini. Additionally, a market in the city center on September 30 will necessitate transit bans and ZTL suspensions in areas including via Cavour, piazza Garibaldi, and piazza Mazzini.
In Limbiate, construction for the new Milan-Limbiate metrotramway will affect the Villoresi Canal Bridge area starting September 23. To maintain transit on the bridge, a temporary alternating one-way system regulated by traffic lights will be implemented. Other local restrictions include the total closure of Via Marconi and transit bans on the stretch between via Buozzi and Corso Milano, with exceptions for residents and emergency services.
