Infrastructure projects underway in Gemünden and Driedorf

Infrastructure projects are underway in Hessen, Germany, involving significant road and utility renovations in Gemünden and Driedorf.

In Gemünden, Hessen Mobil is renewing a 2-kilometer section of the L3155. The project involves excavating asphalt and soil up to 30 centimeters deep to ensure structural integrity. The work includes replacing approximately 570 meters of water pipes and 30 house connections. The total investment is approximately 2.9 million euros, with Hessen Mobil contributing 2.5 million euros. A portion of the work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with further phases scheduled for 2027.

In the Lahn-Dill-Kreis district, the K77 (Schloßstraße) in Driedorf is undergoing a joint renovation by Hessen Mobil and the local municipality. This 590-meter project is divided into two phases involving full road closures. The work includes renewing asphalt, drainage systems, and water pipes, as well as upgrading sewage systems. The second phase will also focus on making bus stops barrier-free to improve accessibility for wheelchair users and strollers. Completion is anticipated by summer 2027.
