Infrastructure projects underway in Heraklion and Western Macedonia

Various road infrastructure and asphalt paving projects are currently underway in different regions of Greece to improve road safety and connectivity.

In Heraklion, the Municipality is implementing a program to repair road damage and lay new asphalt. Specifically, work is scheduled for Emmanouil Tsikalakis Street in the Katsamba area, spanning from the intersection with St. Kazantzidi Avenue to the intersection with Kastoria Street. Preparatory cleaning, milling, and paving works are being conducted as part of a broader effort that includes ongoing projects on Papapetrou Gavala and Orakia streets.

In Western Macedonia, asphalt paving is progressing on the Krokos Regional Road Axis. This project aims to improve access to the settlement by connecting its southern entrance to the northern exit toward Kozani, as well as providing better links to the Kozani–Larissa National Road and the airport area. The initiative is part of a wider regional plan to enhance the road network south of Kozani, which includes previous completions such as the Milia–Kerasia connection.
