Infrastructure projects underway in Manganeses de la Polvorosa and Chiva

In Manganeses de la Polvorosa, the Diputación de Zamora has initiated rehabilitation works on the old bridge over the Órbigo River. The project, awarded to UTE Stronger Repair, S. L. -Ingedeca, S. L. for 531,805.71 euros, aims to reopen the 189-meter structure exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists within six months. The intervention will repair structural elements, install new railings, and renew sidewalks. Additionally, the works are essential to protect water supply pipelines used by the Benavente and Los Valles Commonwealth.

In Chiva, the City Council has begun cleaning and maintaining the sewage network to mitigate residential flooding during heavy rainfall. The maintenance involves clearing debris and sediment from storm drains and rehabilitating collectors in the Plaza and Doctor Lanuza areas. These measures aim to address historical infrastructure deficiencies and reduce water ingress into private homes.
