Infrastructure projects underway in Pardubice and Rokycany regions

In the Pardubice region, a new 2.4-kilometer pedestrian and cycling path is being constructed to connect Holice and Horní Ředice along road I/35. The project, which follows over ten years of preparation and land settlement challenges, is expected to be operational by November once asphalt laying is complete. The construction costs approximately 45 million CZK, with 85 percent funded by the Integrated Regional Operational Program. The path consists of a 1.81-kilometer main section along I/35, a 229-meter section along I/36, and a 373-meter marked cycle route.

In the Rokycany region, a 1.5-kilometer section of road II/233 between Střapole and Sedlecko is undergoing repairs. The project involves milling existing asphalt and laying new layers, with a total cost of approximately 12 million CZK including VAT. Work began on October 14 and is scheduled for completion by December 14, 2026. The road is subject to total closures in stages, necessitating a detour through Břasy, Bezděkov, Březina, Osek, Vitinka, Bušovice, and Smědčice. Public transport access remains maintained during the construction.
