Infrastructure projects underway in Vervins and on Tancarville Bridge

In Vervins, traffic and parking will be prohibited on Place du Général-de-Gaulle on Wednesday, October 14, from 8:00 to 18:00. This restriction is necessary to facilitate the delivery of the framework for the future Tac Tic Animation social center. The construction project, which began in early 2024, has faced several delays, including a road collapse in March 2024 and the discovery of underground cavities. Completion is now expected by March 2027.

Separately, a major anti-corrosion renovation project is beginning on the Tancarville Bridge. The four-year project, budgeted at €106.4 million (excluding tax), involves stripping and repainting the metal framework, guardrails, and access platforms using shot blasting techniques. During the works, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in both directions, speed limits will be set at 50km/h, and pedestrian access will be prohibited.
