Infrastructure repairs continue following Dana flood damage
Recovery efforts continue across various sectors following the devastating Dana weather event. In the Valencian Community, the Guardia Civil has repaired all affected barracks except for the one in Utiel. Construction at the Utiel station began a month ago and is expected to be completed in January, with plans for a new facility on land provided by the local council.
In another region, the Hospital Comarcal de l’Alt Penedès is beginning the second phase of repairs to address damage caused by the July 2025 floods. These works, scheduled to last approximately one year, will focus on the roof and service building. The project involves relocating essential technical installations—including low-voltage panels, water pumping systems, and heating equipment—to elevated areas to prevent future damage. The hospital aims to minimize impact on patient care during the construction process.
