Global infrastructure updates: road repairs and weather-related damage

Various regions are undergoing significant road infrastructure projects or facing damage due to weather. In Venezuela, the Santiago Mariño municipality applied 90 tons of asphalt in the Villeguita I sector to improve transit and safety.

In Nicaragua, the Managua City Council has begun replacing cobblestones with asphalt at 11 intersections, including the Gancho de Caminos area in the Oriental Market, with local merchants cooperating to facilitate the work. Meanwhile, in Spain, the city of Tudela has started a phased renovation of sidewalks on Camino Caritat, a project valued at approximately 119,790 euros.

Weather-related issues are also impacting connectivity. In Chile, heavy rains on Isla Riesco have caused road collapses, landslides, and fallen trees, severely restricting movement in both northern and southern sectors. In Argentina, a truck rollover at Cuesta de los Terneros has reignited debates regarding the lack of reliable alternative routes for the San Rafael region during emergencies.
