Infrastructure safety concerns reported in Desio and Trani
In Desio, an iron support pole from the former Milano-Desio-Seregno tramway collapsed on Via Garibaldi. While no injuries or property damage were reported, municipal technical staff identified significant corrosion at the base of the fallen structure and noted similar degradation on a nearby support. The local administration has secured the area and formally requested that the Metropolitan City of Milan conduct urgent safety inspections along the entire former route.
In Trani, residents have raised alarms regarding safety hazards on Viale De Gemmis. The issue involves uneven sidewalks caused by tree roots lifting the asphalt and the precarious leaning of large pine trees over the roadway. Pedestrians are reportedly walking in the street to avoid the damaged walkways, raising concerns about potential accidents during heavy rain or high winds.
