Infrastructure updates in Berkeley County and Ciudad Juárez

In Berkeley County, South Carolina, Interstate 26 has expanded to three lanes in each direction between SC 27 (Exit 187) and Jedburg Road (Exit 194). This expansion, part of a larger corridor improvement project, transitioned from two lanes to three on September 23. While the additional lanes are open, the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) noted that construction is ongoing, and single-lane closures will continue through October to complete remaining work.

In Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, heavy rainfall has caused flooding and road closures in several sectors. Civil Protection reported closures at the 16 de Septiembre and Lerdo underpass, as well as the intersection of Ramón Rivera Lara and Fernando Borreguero. Firefighters are using water pumps to clear the areas, with hopes to reopen these points by Thursday. Additionally, partial southbound to northbound traffic has resumed at the Centauro bridge, and municipal water authorities are conducting work on Avenida de las Torres and Paseo de la Victoria.
